A new tip has now revealed the alleged India launch timeline of the Redmi 17 series, which was recently introduced in the global market. Not just this, the tipster has also shared when the Redmi Note 17 Pro series and the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro series could make their way to the Indian market.

Redmi 17, Redmi Note 17 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Series India Launch Timelines Tipped
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi 17 series in India on September 5th 2026. The lineup consists of the Redmi 17 4G and Redmi 17 5G, both of which have already been introduced in the global market. If the tipped launch date turns out to be correct, we could soon see the brand start teasing their arrival in India.
Moreover, the tipster also claims that the Redmi Note 17 Pro series could launch in India either on September 18th or September 20th 2026.
Coming to Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship lineup, Abhishek Yadav has also tipped the Xiaomi 18 series to arrive in India sometime in December 2026. Current rumours suggest that the lineup could include Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max models, with the Pro models also tipped to feature a secondary display at the rear.
Notably, this isn’t the first time we are hearing about a December launch for the Xiaomi 18 series in India. An earlier report citing tipster Yogesh Brar had also claimed that the lineup could make its Indian debut in December 2026, though that report suggested that the standard Xiaomi 18 could also be part of the launch alongside the Pro and Pro Max models.
However, there are conflicting reports regarding Xiaomi’s launch plans this time. Some previous leaks have suggested that Xiaomi could first introduce the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, while the vanilla Xiaomi 18 may arrive later, potentially towards the end of 2026 or even in early 2027.
Whatever the case may be, with multiple reports now pointing towards a December India launch, it appears that at least some members of the Xiaomi 18 series could arrive in the country before the end of this year.
However, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any of these launch dates yet, so it would be better to take this information with a pinch of salt for now.
