Upcoming Apple iPhone 16 Smartphone Processor and Camera Specs Tipped

A new update has arrived revealing some of the processor and camera details of the next Apple iPhone 16 series vanilla model – the Apple iPhone 16. The upcoming device is expected to offer better performance, connectivity, and camera features.

This update comes from the Chinese tipster – Smart Pikachu, who has shared in a Weibo post that the next Apple Bionic A18 processor that might be equipped within the iPhone 16 smartphone will also probably be made using TSMC’s 3nm process technology, just like Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 processors. The tipster has also added that the launch of these processors are almost going to be in the same time frame in 2024, and a tight competition can be expected among the three.

Speaking more about the Bionic A18 series, it will support dual version of Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7. A double 48MP camera can also be expected at the back of the iPhone 16 device, and it will likely be supporting 5x zoom capability.

Other updates suggest that the iPhone 16 device may feature a vertical camera layout, and its early prototypes revealed this same design. A stacked CMOS image sensor design is also said to be featured on the upcoming iPhone 16 series devices.

Regarding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400 chipsets, the former is revealed to use the brand’s own self-developed core architecture comprising of the Oryon cores without any ARM reference cores, whereas the later is expected to use the latest ARM CPU and GPU cores.
