Samsung tipped to bring Smart Clipboard feature with One UI 8; Feature will be exclusive in China only

The South Korean tech giant Samsung has started One UI 8 beta testing for the Galaxy S25 series. Till now, the company has released 2 beta updates, while the third beta update is said to be released soon. The stable version of One UI 8 is said to be introduced with Samsung’s next foldable devices next month.

One UI 8 is expected to arrive with several new features and upgrades. Tipster @GerwinvGiessen has revealed on the X platform that the Smart Clipboard feature will arrive with One UI 8.

According to the tipster, this feature will be made available for Samsung devices in China only. In the comment section, he also shared Smart Clipboard feature only works with the Samsung Assistant app, which is only available in China.

When you copy the content, Smart Clipboard will intelligently recommend floating windows with different functions like doing a quick search in Samsung Assistant when text content includes delivery information/product information/Samsung Assistant keywords, quickly opening a webpage when the text includes a web address, summarize the long text and correct grammar mistakes or translate text. These features will be helpful for those who work with texts often.

It is also revealed that in order to ensure privacy, when you use Summarize, Correct, Add to favorites, Search, or Open functions, the text content, including any sensitive data it might have, will be processed but not saved.
