In August, Galaxy S27 Ultra’s CAD-based renders leaked online (via Android Headlines in collaboration with OnLeaks), which revealed that Samsung will be redesigning the rear camera module this time.
Android Headlines has now revealed the Galaxy S27 Ultra dummy unit, which is built from the previously leaked CAD renders.
Galaxy S27 Ultra dummy unit surfaced online
As per the dummy unit, the Galaxy S27 Ultra measures 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm, which is somewhat similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra (163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm).
Till now, built-in Qi2 magnets have not been included in the Galaxy S lineup as they interfered with the S Pen. The Galaxy S26 Ultra worked with magnetic accessories if you used a Qi2 magnetic case, but the cameras were the problem.
But now, with the redesigned camera module of the Galaxy S27 Ultra, magnetic charging could be possible. Apart from this, when the dummy unit was set down, it sat still, solving the table wobble issue. But on tapping the screen, particularly in the lower right-hand corner, the device still wobbled a decent amount. Do note that since this is a dummy unit, the actual model could behave differently.
The new camera bar on the Galaxy S27 Ultra features one less camera compared to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung is rumoured to ditch the 3x telephoto this year and include only the 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP 5x telephoto camera.
The company is putting a raised bump on top of the camera bar. The rest of the design looks the same: the S Pen is still on the bottom left with the speaker, the USB-C port, and the SIM card tray. The power and volume buttons are on the right side.
