Redmi 17 4G – Complete Specifications Tipped
As per a screengrab shared by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the upcoming Redmi 17 4G smartphone is tipped to arrive in four colour choices of Oak Green, Deep Blue, Black, and Lotus Purple. In terms of its dimensions and weight, the device will measure 170.12 × 78.42 × 8.8mm and weigh 232gm. It is also revealed to feature a Dynamic RGB light, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and an IP64-rated dust and splash-resistant body.
For its display, the Redmi 17 4G is tipped to feature a 6.9″ flat display screen with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and support an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen is said to offer 675 nits of typical brightness and 825 nits of brightness under High Brightness Mode. It will also support 8-bit colour depth, 16.7 million colours, an 83% NTSC colour gamut, and DC dimming.
The display is further revealed to have received the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (Software Solution), TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly, and TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free certifications for eye protection.

Under the hood, the device is said to use MediaTek’s 12nm-based Helio G91-Ultra octa-core chipset. It is expected to arrive in memory options of 4GB/128GB, 4GB/256GB, 6GB/128GB, and 6GB/256GB, along with support for memory extension of up to 12GB. LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage are also pointed out to be offered on the smartphone.
Speaking about its cameras, the Redmi 17 4G is tipped to sport a 50MP AI dual-camera system at the rear. Its 50MP main camera will use a 5P lens with an f/1.8 aperture, whereas an auxiliary lens will be present as the secondary rear camera. For selfies and video calls, an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.05 aperture will be equipped.
The device will reportedly support 1080p video recording at 30fps and 720p video recording at 30fps using its camera system.
Coming to its battery, the Redmi 17 4G is tipped to pack a 7,500mAh typical battery and support up to 45W turbo charging via a USB Type-C port. Its 7,500mAh battery capacity and 45W charging support had also been revealed through its previous EPREL listing.
Other tipped specifications include Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 operating system, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity supporting the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. NFC support will also be available on the device, however, its availability will depend on the market.
Looking into previous reports, the Redmi 17 4G carrying the model number ‘2606FRN72Y’ and the alleged POCO C95 Pro 4G bearing the model number ‘2606FPC72Y’ were revealed to arrive as rebranded versions of each other through their GSMA and TKDN listings. Certain rumours had consequently suggested that both smartphones would use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset.
However, the latest specifications reveal that the Redmi 17 4G will instead use MediaTek’s Helio G91-Ultra chipset, suggesting that the previous Snapdragon chipset information was incorrect. If the Redmi and POCO devices are indeed rebranded versions of each other, the POCO C95 Pro 4G could also use the same Helio G91-Ultra chipset. Nevertheless, its processor has not yet been officially confirmed.
The Redmi 17 4G has so far appeared on the Indonesian SDPPI and TKDN databases, as well as Malaysia’s SIRIM certification platform. Its previous FCC listing had revealed 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, 6GB/256GB, 6GB/512GB, 8GB/256GB, and 8GB/512GB memory variants.
