POCO recently confirmed the upcoming Indian launch of its M8 Power 5G smartphone by making its dedicated microsite live on Flipkart. While its launch date and specifications have not yet been officially revealed, a tipster has now spilled the beans regarding its key specifications.

POCO M8 Power 5G – Specifications Tipped
As per a new update shared by tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming POCO M8 Power 5G smartphone is tipped to feature a 6.9″ AMOLED display screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits of brightness. Under the hood, the device is said to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
For its cameras, the smartphone is tipped to sport a 50MP main camera at the rear and an 8MP selfie camera at the front. The POCO M8 Power 5G is also revealed to pack an 8,000mAh battery and support up to 45W wired fast charging.
Other tipped specifications include the Android 16-based HyperOS 3 operating system, an IR sensor, IP65-rated dust and water resistance, and a mono speaker. The device is also said to receive four major Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Three colour choices of Orange, Mint, and Black are reportedly planned for it.
Looking into the previous reports, the POCO M8 Power 5G was already suggested to arrive as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17 5G, and Yogesh Brar had also associated the two devices in an earlier update. However, another tipster had revealed that the Indian and global variants of the Redmi Note 17 5G would be packing different battery capacities of 8,000mAh and 7,700mAh, respectively. Therefore, it was not sure which configuration would be used for the upcoming POCO device.
With the latest tip now pointing to an 8,000mAh battery, the POCO M8 Power 5G appears to share its battery capacity and several other specifications with the Chinese and tipped Indian variants of the Redmi Note 17 5G, rather than its reported global variant.
It must be noted that POCO has only confirmed the smartphone’s upcoming Indian launch and Flipkart availability, whereas the specifications and launch date have not yet been officially announced.
