New Sony ‘PY7-50337X’ Smartphone Spotted on the FCC Certification Platform

A new Sony smartphone with the code name – ‘PY7-50337X’ has now been spotted on the FCC certification platform of the United States. Via the listing, a few of its key specs have also been revealed.

Sony’s upcoming ‘PY7-50337X’ smartphone model has been certified by the FCC certification authority, and it is revealed to support 2G/3G/4G/5G network, Bluetooth, WiFi 7 (2.4GHz and 5GHz band support), NFC (13.56MHz), GNSS (global navigation satellite system – BDS, GPS, Galileo, Glonass), and WPT (wireless power transfer). To note, this FCC-listed device could be the global variant as US variants usually support more connectivity bands

A 5000 mAh Li-ion battery (4850 mAh rated value) with the model number – ‘SNYSHD4’ is backed within it, and it is listed along with a 30W charging adapter with model number – ‘XQZ-UC1’. A 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging features are also likely to be present as per the FCC listing.

Apart from the mentioned charging adapter, a 100cm-long USB cable with model number – ‘XQZ-UB1’ and a wired 125cm-long earphone with model number – ‘MDR-EX15AP’ have also been listed along with the device. This could also mean that a 3.5mm audio-jack could also be offered on the device.

Speaking more, as per what is being said, this FCC-listed Sony ‘PY7-50337X’ smartphone may be the next Xperia 1 VII smartphone. Also, it is soon going to be a year since the debut of the previous Xperia 1 VI smartphone, which further reiterates the possibility. To add, its listing on the FCC database also suggests that Sony is likely planning on a comeback to the US market too.
