iPhone 18 Pro Series – Battery Capacities Revealed Via 3C Certification
Apple is expected to follow a different launch strategy this time for its next iPhone 18 series smartphones. Earlier, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had reported that the Cupertino-based tech giant may first launch the iPhone 18 Pro series in September this year, along with its first foldable smartphone, while the vanilla iPhone 18 model is likely to break cover after six months next year. The iPhone 18 model is also expected to be paired with the next iPhone Air 2 device.
Moving on to the 3C certification listing, the iPhone 18 Pro China version, carrying the battery model number ‘S2233’, has been listed with a 4056mAh battery capacity. On the other hand, the iPhone 18 Pro US version with the battery model number ‘S2232’ is revealed to pack a slightly larger 4288mAh battery.

Speaking more, the iPhone 18 Pro Max China version, with the battery model numbers ‘2236L/S2236’, is pointed out to feature a 5391mAh battery capacity. The iPhone 18 Pro Max US version, with the battery model numbers ‘2235L/S2235’, has been listed with a 5567mAh battery capacity.
For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro China version featured a 3988mAh battery, while its US version came with a 4252mAh battery. Similarly, the iPhone 17 Pro Max China version packed a 4823mAh battery, whereas the US version carried a 5088mAh battery. Based on this, the 3C certification listing suggests that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series could be receiving a battery upgrade this year.
Just recently, another report had highlighted that the iPhone 18 Pro Max nano-SIM variant would feature a 5235mAh battery capacity, while the eSIM version was said to arrive with a 5425mAh battery. However, the above-mentioned 3C certification listing suggests otherwise, and since it comes from a certification database, it can be taken with more trust when compared to earlier reports.
