Honor Magic 8 Lite spotted on Google Play Console with Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC; could be a rebranded Honor X9D

Honor is prepping to launch the Honor Magic 8 Lite smartphone soon, and it has now been spotted on the Google Play Console, revealing key specifications of the device.

According to the listing, the device carries the model number “MTN-NX1” and under the marketing name, it shows Honor X9D, which was launched recently in global markets. This suggests that the Magic 8 Lite could be a rebranded version of the Honor X9D.

The listing reveals that the chipset configuration includes a primary core clocked at 2.80GHz, three cores at 2.60GHz, and four cores at 1.80GHz. Under the SoC details, the codename QTI SM6650 is mentioned, with the Qualcomm Adreno 732 GPU (900 MHz) listed, all pointing to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC (Honor X9d also came with the same SoC).

Additionally, the listing confirms a 12GB RAM variant and suggests that the device will run Android 15 out of the box. The front image shown (a placeholder) highlights a punch-hole display with slim bezels on all sides, along with the volume rocker and power button located on the right side of the frame.

Earlier, the same smartphone appeared on the Google Play Console supported devices list with model numbers “MTN-NX1M” and “MTN-NX3”. It has also been spotted on the GCF certification website with the model number “MTN-NX1M”, while the EMVCo certification confirmed that the device will run Android 15 out of the box and will support NFC.

With multiple certification appearances, the Honor Magic 8 Lite’s launch seems imminent. Based on the specifications and listings so far, it could very well be a rebranded Honor X9D.
