ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Elite SOC, ahead of its feb launch

ASUS has already revealed the launch date of the Zenfone 12 Ultra for the global market, which is set for the 6th of February 2025. Just a few weeks ahead of its launch, the device has now been spotted on the Geekbench database with the model number “ASUSAI2501H.”

According to the Geekbench listing, the Zenfone 12 Ultra achieved a single-core score of 3036 and a multi-core score of 9656. The prototype, which ran on the Geekbench 6.3.0 database, reveals that the device features two CPU clusters: six cores running at 3.53GHz and two cores at 4.32GHz. Furthermore, it shows that the Zenfone 12 Ultra will ship with Android 15 out of the box, paired with 14.74GB of RAM (likely to be marketed as 16GB RAM).

Comparing the CPU cores with what we observed on the Galaxy S25 Slim, the latter’s two high-performance cores were clocked at 4.47GHz, slightly higher than the 4.32GHz of the Zenfone Ultra. However, the S25 Slim variant scored around 6945 in the multi-core benchmark, falling short of the 9000 mark achieved by the Zenfone Ultra. Also, as per the SGS certification, it is expected to come with 65W fast charging support.

As for the design, if ASUS follows a similar approach to the Zenfone 11 Ultra—essentially a rebranded ROG Phone 8 Pro—we might see the ROG Phone 9 Pro launching as the Zenfone 12 Ultra.

The rest of the details remain under wraps, but more information is expected to surface soon.
