While its marketing name has not been listed on the certification database, several online reports have pointed out that the model number could belong to the global variant of the upcoming Xiaomi 18 smartphone.

Speaking more, the same model number had earlier made its appearance on Taiwan’s NCC certification database, which revealed 256GB and 512GB storage options for the device. The two variants are said to offer at least 198GB and 469GB of usable storage respectively, and an IP68-rated body for dust and water resistance has also been revealed.

Additionally, the NCC listing mentions the ‘MDY-19-EX’ charger model, which supports up to 100W wired fast charging. The alleged Xiaomi 18 global variant had also been spotted on Europe’s EEC certification database in July 2026.

About its launch, rumours suggest that Xiaomi may first unveil the Pro and Pro Max models, followed by the Xiaomi 18 and Xiaomi 18 Ultra smartphones together in its home market of China. The latter two devices could eventually make their way to the global markets soon after, similar to what the brand did with the previous Xiaomi 17 series.
