Xiaomi has launched two of its new flagship devices in its home market, China, with one being the Xiaomi 18 Fold, which we have already covered, while the other is the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max. Interestingly, just like the Xiaomi 18 Fold, the new tablet is also powered by Xiaomi’s in-house XRING O3 chipset and its top-end variant features LPDDR6 RAM.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max – Specifications and Features
Starting with the display, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max features a large 13.3″ 3.4K colour-accurate display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and 1,000 nits peak brightness.
Just like the Xiaomi 18 Fold, it is also powered by Xiaomi’s in-house XRING O3 chipset, featuring a 10-core all-big-core CPU architecture, 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU, and an NPU based on a native large-model architecture. It ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 4 based on Android 17 OS.
As per the brand, the device has scored over 5.61 million points on AnTuTu V12. Xiaomi further claims 54% higher CPU multi-core performance and 85% higher GPU performance compared to an XRING O1-powered tablet.
Coming to the memory, most of the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max variants come equipped with LPDDR5X RAM, whereas the top-end 16GB + 1TB configuration exclusively features LPDDR6 RAM. Just like the Xiaomi 18 Fold, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is also among the first devices to feature this new-generation memory.
For cameras, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max sports a 50MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and supports up to 4K video recording at 60fps. At the front, it features a 32MP selfie camera with support for up to 1080p video recording at 60fps.
Coming to the battery, the tablet packs a large 12,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging. It weighs only 645g and measures just 5.67mm in thickness.
Speaking of multimedia, it comes equipped with an eight-speaker audio system along with six microphones.
The tablet has been introduced in Deep Wine Red, Silver, and Black colour options.
Speaking more about its productivity features, Xiaomi is offering a PC-grade WPS for Pad experience along with a professional video-editing interface and PixelCake lossless image processing.
Several AI-powered productivity features are also present, including the ability to generate presentations and videos using a single prompt and remotely retrieve files stored on a computer through a prompt.
Another notable addition is DisplayPort input support. This allows the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max to function as a secondary PC display, digital drawing screen, or large gaming display, depending on the user’s requirement.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is now on sale across channels in China and has been introduced in multiple memory configurations, including a Soft-light Display Edition.

Xiaomi has also introduced dedicated accessories for the tablet. The Floating Keyboard is priced at CNY 1,099, whereas the Touch Pen Pro carries a price tag of CNY 599.
