In July, the South Korean tech giant Samsung officially introduced its Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 smartphones in the global and Indian markets, and now the company has introduced a new premium foldable device in the Chinese market: the Samsung W27.
Samsung W27: Features
The Samsung W27’s back panel is made of Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 material, abandoning flashy colours and drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese colours to create two exclusive collector’s edition colours. It is paired with a frosted, semi-transparent, misty gold ambient island camera module, with a warm and soft luster, delicate layers, presenting an understated yet luxurious oriental glaze-like feel.
It weighs only about 215g and is approximately 4.1mm thick (unfolded)/8.9mm thick (folded). The bottom of the screen features a double-layer titanium shock-absorbing layer for reinforcement, using a composite structure of titanium alloy film and titanium metal plate. The armored aluminium frame is engraved with a gem-like gold embossed texture, blending seamlessly with the ultra-hinge cover featuring a brushed metal finish.
The device features a 6.5-inch outer screen cover made of Corning Gorilla Glass-Ceramic 3 material, while the 8.0-inch inner screen has an anti-reflective coating to reduce screen glare. The display achieves a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits of brightness and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Vision Booster also enhances contrast and colour, ensuring bright, clear visuals.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, coupled with real-time ray tracing and Vulkan optimisation technology. The rear camera module integrates a 200MP wide-angle camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. There are dual 10MP front-facing cameras (inner and outer display). It is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and supports fast charging technology. The smartphone runs on One UI 9.
Other features include: Galaxy AI, seamless connectivity, dual SIM, USB Type-C, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and fingerprint reader.

The foldable device is available in Jixia Hong and Jihu Blu colours. The 16/512GB variant is priced at 18,999 Yuan, and the 16GB/1TB variant is priced at 21,999 Yuan.
