Phoenix group (UAE) partners with FarmERP for digitizing their global agribusiness operations.

Shivrai Technologies celebrates its Foundation Day on the 14th of March. 24 years of a vigorous will to transform the workings of the phenomena we call ‘Agriculture’. FarmERP is a pioneering digital platform for Agribusiness by Shivrai. To celebrate the beginning of this revolutionary venture, several events take place on the Foundation Day.

One of the important events lined up is signing a joint agreement (MOU) with the prestigious Phoenix Group, an AgriFoods, resources and consumer brands global corporation based in the UAE. Phoenix Group has partnered with FarmERP as their technology partner, digitizing all their farming business operations across various different countries.

Phoenix Group has 3 verticals- Agrifoods, resources and consumer brands. They have internalized the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into operations under their corporate philosophy of ‘The One Percent Change’.

Phoenix Group (AgriFoods) has various projects that they have worked on, on a global scale.

  • They are one of the largest rice distribution companies in the world, with a presence in the major growing regions and marketplaces. They deliver close to 2 million metric tons of rice to our customers around the world each year.
  • They are engaged in the merchanting, wholesale distribution and branded products from key sugar-growing countries including Brazil, Thailand, India and Europe. With over 20 existing destination markets, they plan to build upon the domestic wholesale and retail distribution opportunities that have been identified.
  • They grow and procure a wide range of products covering: wheat, barley, peas and oilseeds. These are originated from key growing areas including the CIS, the Americas, Australia, and Europe. They sell directly into 30+ destinations across East Africa, Middle East, South Asia, and South-East Asia.
  • Investment in farming, with a particular focus on smallholder inclusion, is one of the core strategic areas of growth for the Phoenix Group. They strive to ultimately achieve greater yields with reduced environmental impact and to deliver healthy quality produce to end consumers. Currently, they manage over 100,000 Ha of land in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and India, where they employ over 2,000 permanent and seasonal farmers and staff.

To contribute to these imperative causes, and provide assistance on a global-tech level, FarmERP steps in as a digitizing partner for Phoenix Group. FarmERP is Shivrai Technologies’s most comprehensive and successful flagship ERP software platform being used globally for farm, farmer, procurement, processing, supply chain and financial data management and analysis. FarmERP provides assistance to corporate and individual farm operators, agribusiness and contract farming companies, exporters, R&D institutions, and Government agencies, Co-operatives and urges them to exploit the power of Smart agriculture to achieve higher efficiency, higher yields, higher profitability and complete traceability. This, in turn, allows the productive growth of the agricultural industry.

FarmERP platform will act as a hi-end technical backbone for sustainability and traceability projects of Phoenix Group. They would be able to help Phoenix Group mitigate climate risks and work towards climate resilience with tools designed using technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It will further help Phoenix group to go digital to achieve a higher level of competitiveness in global market, ultimately for the benefit of farmers and consumers alike. The signing of this agreement between Phoenix Group and FarmERP highlights the coming together of two entities to work towards a common objective.
