UP man arrested after selling chicken on paper, having the images of Hindu deities

Talib was charged under IPC  Sections 153-A, 295-A, and 307 [Attempt to murder].

On Tuesday, a man was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district for selling chicken on a piece of paper that had images of Hindu deities.

The incident happened on Sunday when some people complained that Talib Hussain from his shop was selling chicken by wrapping it with paper that had pictures of Hindu deities. They have alleged Talib for hurting their religious sentiments.

“When a police team reached his shop, Talib Hussain allegedly attacked them with a knife with an intention to kill, the FIR or police case stated,” a source as per PTI.

Talib was charged under IPC  Sections 153-A, 295-A, and 307 [Attempt to murder].

Currently, an investigation is being carried out and more details are yet to come.

According to ZeeNews, the incident happened a day after a Hindu tailor was murdered by two Muslim youths in Udaipur for his social media posts, supporting the now suspended BJP leader, Nupur Sharma over her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad.
