Samsung Galaxy S25+ device overheated and exploded in Korea

There have been a few instances where we have heard of a smartphone catching fire while it is charging or the device facing overheating issues due to prolonged usage. But recently, a shocking incident has been reported by a Galaxy user on the Samsung Community page.

According to a user in Korea, he was holding a Galaxy S25+ smartphone in his hand when it started to overheat and made a loud noise, due to which the user threw the device on the floor, and as soon as the device crashed on the floor, it caught fire. The user shared the image of the device and also specified that the device was not even plugged in to charge when the incident took place.

In the above image, the device can be seen split into two, while the internal parts were all burned. The user took the device to the Samsung service center, but even after investigation, the cause of this sudden fire was not known.

A few months back, a similar incident was reported where the Galaxy S25+ smartphone was said to have exploded while charging. These frequent incidents have started to raise concerns among users.
