Recently Donald Trump won the US- presidential election and claimed his victory. Well, a congratulatory message for Donald Trump drew a lot of attention online. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif today congratulated US-President-elect Trump on his victory in the presidential elections via an X post.

This post drew a lot of attention and criticism from users on the platform because earlier this year, Pakistan’s interior ministry imposed a temporary ban on X due to security issues, and reiterated that the platform had not established a legal presence in Pakistan, making it difficult to hold it accountable under laws.

Since the temporary ban, users in Pakistan have been facing issues while using the X platform. Now after this tweet from Pakistan’s PM, people have started questioning him about the hypocrisy of putting a temporary ban on the social media platform but still using it.

Not only this, as seen in the above image, this congratulatory post by the PM has also received a community note from X that claimed that Shehbaz Sharif is using a VPN to access X which is unlawful according to Pakistan law.
