Is Facebook tracking your offline activities?

It appears to be true that Facebook has been tracking your offline activities on its platform. This feature was recently introduced by the Tech Giant Facebook in 2020. This feature as claimed by Facebook is to help users see what platforms did they visit and to show them customized ads according to their preference.

While it may be useful for some as they can check their activities but for some it may be considered as an alarm on their privacy. Below you can read how you can check your activity and also you will learn how to turn it off from tracking you.

You can access this setting by following the steps given below

New Facebook

  1. Click  in the top right.
  2. Select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  3. Click Your Facebook Information at the left column.
  4. Click Off-Facebook Activity to review. From here, you can also click Manage Your Off-Facebook Activity for more information. You’ll be asked to re-enter your password.

Classic Facebook

  1. Click  at the top right of Facebook and click Settings.
  2. Click Your Facebook Information at the left column.
  3. Click Off-Facebook Activity to review. From here, you can also click Manage Your Off-Facebook Activity for more information. You’ll be asked to re-enter your password.

From this same place you can turn off tracking, of your offline activity from Facebook.
