Snapdragon Summit 2026 scheduled for September 22-24; the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 lineup expected to be unveiled at this event

The Snapdragon Summit 2026 is set for September 22-24 in Maui, Hawaii. At the event, the company is expected to introduce its 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 lineup. According to reports, there are two chipsets included in this lineup: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (SM8950) and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro (SM8975).
Recently, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some details about these upcoming mobile platforms. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is tipped to feature the same 2+3+3 new-generation Oryon CPU architecture, along with shared 16MB L2 cache. However, this chipset is said to come with the A845 GPU and 12MB GMEM, along with LPDDR5X memory support. This chipset is expected to offer a balance between performance and power consumption.
Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro is tipped to feature a new-generation Oryon CPU architecture with a 2+3+3 core setup, along with shared 16MB L2 cache. It is also said to come with a more radical frequency setup, A850 GPU, 18MB GMEM, and support for LPDDR6/LPDDR5X memory. As per the tipster, this chipset will offer a higher peak performance refresh.
