Qualcomm’s Upcoming Snapdragon 8-Series Chipsets Tipped With 2nm/3nm Process, New Oryon CPU Architecture, and More

Tipster Digital Chat Station has now revealed new details about Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8-series chipset processors. As per what has been shared, the upcoming chipsets are said to be based on both 2nm and 3nm manufacturing processes, and their tentative monikers, CPU architecture, GPU details, and memory support have also been tipped.

Qualcomm’s Upcoming Snapdragon 8-Series Chipsets – New Details Revealed

First of is the SM8975 chipset, which is said to be based on the 2nm manufacturing process and is tentatively named Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. This chipset is tipped to feature a new-generation Oryon CPU architecture with a 2+3+3 core setup, along with shared 16MB L2 cache. It is also said to come with a more radical frequency setup, A850 GPU, 18MB GMEM, and support for LPDDR6/LPDDR5X memory. As per the tipster, this chipset will offer a higher peak performance refresh.

DCS Tipped upcoming chipset snapdragon 8 series

Speaking about the SM8950 chipset, this is also said to be based on the 2nm manufacturing process and is tentatively called Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. It is tipped to feature the same 2+3+3 new-generation Oryon CPU architecture, along with shared 16MB L2 cache. However, this chipset is said to come with the A845 GPU and 12MB GMEM, along with LPDDR5X memory support. This chipset is expected to offer a balance between performance and power consumption.

Furthermore, the SM8850 chipset has also been mentioned, and it is said to be based on the 3nm manufacturing process. This chipset is tipped to launch as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Along with this, the SM8850Q chipset has also been listed, which is also based on the 3nm process and is said to arrive as a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5XX version.

Lastly, the SM8845 Pro chipset has also been tipped to be based on the 3nm manufacturing process and could be named Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro or Snapdragon 8 Gen 6.

Notably, the above mentioned names of the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chipsets are still tentative, and the brand has not officially confirmed any of these details yet. In the coming days, we expect more details to be revealed soon.
