Here is an update to morning’s news Microsoft has announced that the hackers were able to see some of the source code. Although the OS company confirmed that it will not prove fatal for the company causes the hacked account granting system didn’t have permission to modify any code or the system.
Microsoft has pointed a state as the culprit and mastermind behind this act, the US gov and cybersecurity officials have accused Russian as the architects of the overall SolarWinds attack.
Microsoft revealed that hackers went deeper than it was previously known, it found no clue to production services or customer data, it also told that no clue is there that the system was used to attach others.
Earlier this month President Brad Smith said, “attach was a moment of reckoning” and warned about its danger. We can expect more unraveling as the company will dwell deeper into the investigation.
