OpenAI Reported to be Working on a New Generative Music Tool

A new report has now arrived revealing that the American AI startup firm – OpenAI is currently working on a new generative music tool. This new tool will be unlike the music models that the company had introduced in the past (prior to the ChatGPT launch).

OpenAI’s New Generative Music Tool Coming?

As per the report from The Information (received via Tech Crunch), OpenAI is said to be in the works to develop a new generative music tool. Recent updates have already revealed that the company has been developing audio models that are focused on text-to-speech and speech-to-text approaches, and the new tool that is in works is believed to allow users add music to existing videos or add an extra musical accompaniment to an existing vocal/sound track. However, it is still not sure whether the brand plans to unveil it as a standalone product (~ not integrated with ChatGPT or Sora). Additionally, it is also being said that OpenAI has collaborated with the students of the Juilliard School to produce scores as part of training the new music model or tool that is under development.

In related news, a few days back, OpenAI had officially brought out its Sora 2 video and audio generation model, following which the news regarding Samsung’s and OpenAI’s strategic partnership had also arrived. This month itself, the brand introduced the Web Search tool within its AI models, as well as launched the ChatGPT Atlas as the company’s very first AI-first browser.
