WhatsApp to now allow sharing HD videos in WhatsApp chat

We updated last month that WhatsApp users can now choose to share HD photos in Chat. In the latest developments, WhatsApp will now allow its users to share HD videos in chat. WhatsApp took to the social media platform X and updated about the same.

WhatsApp is constantly working to make the platform more convenient and user-friendly. Transmission of content on social media apps is a constant, never-ending process. Users are always using it. Messaging and other kind of social media apps often compresses or allows compression options when it comes to the transfer of media, in order to save data and for faster transfer of data.

The same used to happen with WhatsApp. WhatsApp chat earlier compressed photos and videos while sending them in chat or sharing them on stories.

Now WhatsApp is even allowing the option to share HD videos for its users. The company earlier confirmed in the month of August that they would roll out the feature for Android and iOS users soon. Earlier WhatsApp compressed HD videos to up to 480p.
