Xiaomi 15 Smartphone Price will Probably Increase: Claims Chinese Tipster

Xiaomi, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, has already unveiled three of its flagship 14 series devices and the tech world is now looking forward to the next 15 series flagships that will be debuting possibly in the month of October 2024.

Few reports regarding the 15 series smartphones have already been shared and a new update has arrived which suggests of a probable price increase for the vanilla Xiaomi 15 device.

Xiaomi 15 – Tipped to Cost Higher

This update comes from Digital Chat Station, a Chinese tipster on the Weibo platform, and via a post shared online, it has been mentioned that there is a great chance that the Xiaomi 15 price will increase when compared to the Xiaomi 14 model that was introduced in China at CNY 3,999 for the 8GB/256GB base storage variant. The 16GB/1TB high end storage variant costs CNY 4999, while the mid-range 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB variants had price tags of CNY 4299 and CNY 4599 respectively.

The tipster hasn’t mentioned any reasons regarding the probably price hike, but simply has posed the question about the expected storage variants for the Xiaomi 15 device. Maybe, it might be available with the same storage configurations with which the Xiaomi 14 smartphone was made available for customers (assuming).

If we look into previous updates, the Xiaomi 15 smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor and is said to feature an OLED CSOT LTPO display screen with a 1.5K resolution and 1400 nits peak brightness rate. The display might also have ultra thin bezels too. The camera module is also suggested to have a change this time. A large battery backup and lower power consumption are other expected specifications.
