Redmi Pad Pro Keyboard spotted on BIS certification, India launch imminent

Redmi Pad Pro was launched in its home country, with much fanfare just a few days back. And the rumour mill has already started to whisper about its global launch. Earlier, we had spotted the Redmi Stylus and Redmi Keyboard on the TDRA, SDPPI, IMDA, NRRA, and FCC certifications. And now, we have spotted the Redmi Pad Pro keyboard on the BIS certification website.

The Redmi Pad Pro keyboard has been certified via BIS certification with model number “24042KBD5G” and the grant date is 10th April 2024. Though, this certification doesn’t reveal the moniker or any hardware specs. But this gives us an idea, that Redmi Pad Pro is coming to India. The moniker for this model number “24042KBD5G” is confirmed via its recent listing on the TDRA certification.

It is also in the news that Redmi plans to introduce a 5G variant of the Redmi Pad Pro. This was confirmed via its recent listing on the Bluetooth SIG certification with model number “24074RPD2C“. Other than this, the global Wifi variant was spotted on the Google Play Console listing with two model numbers: “2405CRPFDL” and “2405CRPFDG“. The Google Play console listing, also reaffirms that it will come with similar specs to its Chinese counterpart. Another important thing to note is that even though this tablet is powered by an SD 7 Gen 2 processor, Redmi chose not to give it 5G connectivity. However, new reports have affirmed that not only is the 5G variant coming, but it will also support eSIM(only the 5G variant). It is also revealed that the new 5G variant will have three model numbers “24074RPD2C“, “24074RPD2G” and “24074RPD2I“. Here C represents China, G for Global, and I for India.

There is no word from Xiaomi regarding the global launch of the Wifi variant or the 5G one. But, just like the tradition, we may soon hear some announcements regarding the wifi variant for the global audience and soon 5G variant will be first launched in the Chinese market and then it will come globally.
