According to a latest teaser shared by MediaTek, the chip maker has officially announced that it will be holding its 2026 MediaTek Dimensity Flagship New Product Launch Conference on 15th September 2026, where the company is expected to unveil its upcoming flagship Dimensity chipsets.

As revealed in the official teaser, the launch event will take place on 15th September 2026 at 2:30 PM China time. MediaTek has also highlighted the word “PRO” in the teaser, suggesting that a new Pro-branded flagship chipset will be one of the key highlights of the event.

While MediaTek has not yet revealed the exact names of the chipsets that will be announced during the event, previous rumours suggest that the company will unveil its upcoming Dimensity 9600 series, likely consisting of the Dimensity 9600 and Dimensity 9600 Pro SoCs.
Apart from China, MediaTek is also expected to unveil its new flagship chipset for the global market on the same date. The global event timing is listed as 14:30 GMT+8, which is the same as 2:30 PM China Standard Time.
Speaking more, we have already seen the alleged Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC making its appearance on the Geekbench database aboard the upcoming Vivo X500 Pro Max and OPPO Find X10 Pro Max smartphones. Both devices are also expected to make their debut soon in the Chinese market.
As for what can be expected from the upcoming chipset series, previous leaks suggest that the Dimensity 9600 Pro could be manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm-class N2P process and feature an all-big-core CPU architecture.

The leaked CPU configuration consists of:
- 2 cores clocked at 4.55GHz
- 3 cores clocked at 4.35GHz
- 3 cores clocked at 3.10GHz
The chipset has also been spotted with the Mali-G2 Ultra NX MC12 GPU.
Meanwhile, the standard Dimensity 9600 is expected to use a TSMC 3nm manufacturing process and arrive as the standard flagship offering in the lineup.
It should be noted that MediaTek has not officially confirmed the Dimensity 9600 or Dimensity 9600 Pro monikers, nor their complete specifications yet. Hence, these details should be taken as rumours for now.
With the launch event now officially scheduled for 15th September 2026, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out what MediaTek has planned for its next-generation Dimensity flagship lineup.
