MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset officially unveiled; OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will be the first to use this chipset
MediaTek has today officially introduced its Dimensity 9400e chipset at the OnePlus Game Strategic Communication Conference in China.

MediaTek Dimensity 9400e: Features
This chipset adopts the 3rd Gen 4nm TSMC process. It comprises of Arm Cortex X4 core clocked at 3.4GHz, three Arm Cortex-X4 cores clocked at 2.85GHz and four Arm Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes with 8MB L3 cache and 10MB SLC. The 12-core GPU Immortalis-G720 supports graphics technologies such as hardware ray tracing. The chipset arrives with support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4+ MCQ storage.
It supports technologies such as Star Speed Engine, Adaptive Control 2.0, and Dimensity Frame Double Technology 2.0+. For AI, there is MediaTek NPU 790 (Generative AI) support and MediaTek NeuroPilot. It comes with support for the Development AI kit and enhanced inference decoding technology, and also supports the end-to-end operation of the world’s mainstream language models, including DeepSeek-R1-Distill and LLaVA-1.5 7B.
For connectivity, it supports GNSS functions like GPS L1CA+ L5+L1C, BeiDou B1I+B1C+ B2a+B2b, Glonass L1OF, Galileo E1+ E5a+E5b, QZSS L1CA+L5, NavIC L5), WiFi 7, 2T2R WiFi Antenna, triple band triple concurrency (TBTC), and Bluetooth 6.0 with dual Bluetooth engine. WiFi peak data rate is 7.3 Gbps.
Cellular technologies supported are Sub-6GHz (FR1), mmWave (FR2), 2G-5G multi-mode, 5G-CA, 4G-CA, 5G, FDD / TDD, 4G FDD / TDD, TD-SCDMA, WDCDMA, EDGE, GSM. Special functions supported include- 5G/4G Dual SIM Dual Active, SA & NSA modes; SA Option2, NSA Option3 / 3a / 3x, NR FR1 TDD+FDD, DSS, FR1 DL 4CC up to 300 MHz 4×4 MIMO, FR2 DL 4CC up to 400MHz, 256QAM FR1 UL 2CC 2×2 MIMO, 256QAM NR UL 2CC, R16 UL Enhancement, 256QAM VoNR / EPS fallback
It arrives with a maximum 320MP camera sensor support, 8K at 30fps & 4K at 60fps video recording support. For display, it supports 4K resolution up to 120Hz and WQHD resolution up to 180Hz.
Security features include Secure Processor, HWRoT, Arm memory Taggling Extension (MTE) Technology, CC EAL4+ Capable, FIPS 140-3f, and China DRM. This chipset is the enhanced version of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC.
MediaTek Dimensity 9400e: Availability
The smartphones that feature this latest chipset will be made available in the market starting this month, while OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will be the first to use this chipset.
