MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC officially launched in India; Oppo Reno 14 Pro will be the first to arrive with this chipset in India
Yesterday at the India Dimensity Summit, MediaTek officially unveiled its latest Dimensity 8450 SoC. This chipset lets you stream, broadcast, record, edit, and publish with unparalleled speed and quality.

MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC: Features
It is built with eight Arm Cortex-A725 cores and a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. It is said to deliver 30% better performance and power efficiency. A new Dual EIS Engine enhances 4K60 HDR (HLG) video recording with more accurate camera stabilization. For live streaming, the new Live Broadcast Booster improves face detection by accurately identifying the presenter’s face within the shot.
The chip integrates MediaTek NPU 888 and supports the latest global mainstream LLMs, SLMs, and LMMs. The Dimensity Agentic AI Engine is designed to transform traditional AI applications into sophisticated agentic AI applications. It arrives with support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4+ MCQ storage. The chipset arrives with MediaTek HyperEngine Adaptive gaming Technology 3.0, which includes exclusive enhancements and a Network Observation System (NOS) that enables precise 5G/WiFi switching.
It supports WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and 2T2R WiFi Antenna. For imaging, the Imagiq 1080 ISP supports in-sensor zoom with zero-lag HDR and 100% PDAF. It supports up to 320MP sensor, 5G Sub-6GHz modem and 4K60 HDR (HLG) capture with Dual EIS. For display, it supports WQHD+ up to 144Hz and dual screen.

It is revealed that the Oppo Reno 14 Pro will be the first to launch with this chipset in India and later, most likely a Oppo K13 series smartphone will launch with this SoC.
