NOKIA vs OPPO war: Why is NOKIA suing it in other markets as well?

As per sources, NOKIA, the Japanese phone maker, headed by HMD Global, was at the forefront in driving OPPO out of the German market. This case was an issue of patent infringement. NOKIA v/s OPPO has been a silent war to date. There have been issues, patent infringement and so much more. NOKIA has been in the mobile-making industry for quite a long time as compared to OPPO. Hence, it might be considered as its mighty predecessor.

According to various reports, the Japanese giant is now suing OPPO, the Chinese smartphone maker in the Australian market. Wondering about the reason? NOKIA claims that OPPO violated the brand’s Service Enablement Platform also known as SEP which covers all 4G as well as 5G network technologies. The German court also halted the sales of the OPPO mobile phones in the market pertaining to its issues. OPPO is also seemingly getting into problems like its Chinese counterpart Xiaomi. Xiaomi had also faced legal issues earlier in the Indian courts. OPPO has been indulging in such malpractices and issues with other brands.

The smartphone maker NOKIA is also suing the brand OPPO in European as well as Asian countries. It occurred after the expiry of the patent agreement between both companies namely, NOKIA as well as OPPO, in 2021.

The Japanese brand, NOKIA, is hopeful of being a mightier opponent to OPPO, the Chinese mobile maker. The lawsuits and processes have a long way to go. But in the end, justice shall prevail. And, the truth shall prevail.
