As it was expected, Apple has now announced a price hike for several of its previous-generation iPhones in the Indian market, with some of them receiving a significant increase when compared with their respective launch prices.
Here’s more about the revised pricing below.
Apple iPhones – Revised India Pricing
Following the launch of its latest iPhone lineup, Apple has now revised the pricing of the iPhone 17e, iPhone 16, iPhone 17, and iPhone Air in India.
Here is how their current pricing compares with their respective launch prices:
| Model | Launch Price | Revised Price | Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 17e | ₹64,900 | ₹79,900 | ₹15,000 |
| iPhone 16 | ₹79,900 | ₹89,900 | ₹10,000 |
| iPhone 17 | ₹82,900 | ₹99,900 | ₹17,000 |
| iPhone Air | ₹1,19,900 | ₹1,49,900 | ₹30,000 |
Among these, the iPhone Air has received the biggest increase of ₹30,000 when compared with its launch price, followed by the iPhone 17 with a ₹17,000 hike, iPhone 17e with ₹15,000, and iPhone 16 with ₹10,000.
The revised pricing is now also being reflected on Apple India’s official website.
Interestingly, this price hike doesn’t exactly come as a surprise. During Apple’s previous earnings discussion, then-CEO Tim Cook had already highlighted the rising cost of memory components and supply constraints, while also indicating that the pressure from memory pricing was expected to increase further during the September quarter.
And now, following Apple’s latest product launch, the company has indeed increased the prices of several of its existing iPhones not just in India but in other markets as well, with rising component and memory costs being one of the major factors behind the broader price increases.
