Based on a recent update, it has been known that the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturers, OPPO and OnePlus are planning to stop their sales in European countries.

Here’s what we know.

“OPPO and OnePlus are Pulling Out of Europe”

OPPO and OnePlus, the famous smartphone makers from China are planning on stopping their sales in the European market. Max Jambor, a well-known tipster shared this information on the microblogging platform, Twitter confirming that the smartphone brands are soon to pull out of Europe.

Based on what has been understood, the two companies will leave Germany first followed by UK, France, and Netherlands. However, it is to be noted that there are still no updates from the companies regarding such plans.

The reason to why the companies are planning on such a step is still unknown but based on the article published on Android Headlines, the reason might be the patent issues the two companies have with Nokia.

Nokia had in the past filed a lawsuit against both OPPO and OnePlus over 5G patents and was even able to stop their sales in Germany. Both OPPO nor OnePlus weren’t worried about the sudden happenings and had even informed the public that the two brands will be able to remove their bans on renewing the license of the two companies on specific terms.

While things were supposed to go well, the recent update tells us the opposite. Whatever the case is leaving such a huge market over patent-related issues is a foolish step and the two companies shouldn’t be taking this decision.

However, Max Jambor, who mostly shares updates regarding OnePlus and its products, has never been wrong and is usually always accurate about what he shares. In a recent Twitter post, Jambor also stated that an official update from the two companies will soon come.

It is also to be noted here that the two companies come under the same parent company(BBK Electronics).
