YouTube Premium subscribers in the US will get Peacock Premium included with their membership in early 2027

Yesterday, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan announced their expanded partnership with NBCUniversal across YouTube and YouTube TV.

As part of this partnership, eligible YouTube Premium subscribers in the US will gain access to ad-supported Peacock Premium in early 2027. This means eligible subscribers will get the ultimate viewing experience with Peacock’s expansive lineup of live sports, blockbuster Universal movies and hit original series.

Benefits of the additional Peacock Premium

  • In addition to existing YouTube Premium features, subscribers will gain access to ad-supported Peacock Premium.
  • On Peacock, dive into marquee live sports, award-winning and blockbuster movies, and hit series- including the NFL, NBA, Saturday Night Live, Love Island USA, and Law & Order: SVU- right on YouTube.
  • The company will also introduce international bundles and options to let subscribers upgrade their Peacock membership and choose the best plan for them.
  • A selection of live sporting events from NBCUniversal will stream on NBC Sports’ YouTube channel to millions of users.

The companies will deepen their longstanding advertising technology collaboration, including through FreeWheel, to enhance advertising capabilities and drive greater monetisation at scale.

The agreement will also expand the global reach of NBCUniversal’s international streaming services, Universal+ and Hayu, through YouTube Premium in select markets. The deal extends and expands the distribution and offerings of YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Premium on Comcast’s Xfinity and Xumo platforms.
