WhatsApp Plus Reportedly Arrives on iOS: A New Official Subscription for Custom Themes and More
WhatsApp Plus, a new subscription-based model, is likely going to be introduced soon by WhatsApp in certain regions, as reported by the publication WABetaInfo. As per the report, a total of six new features are going to come with this upcoming Plus subscription.

As per what has been shared by the publication, WhatsApp is reportedly planning to introduce this service in certain regions for iOS users only. The pricing has reportedly been set at €2.49 per month in Europe, while it is said to cost PKR 229.00 per month in Pakistan and $29.00 per month in Mexico.
Talking about the features, paid users will reportedly get premium stickers support alongside the ability to choose from 18 colour themes, including Vibrant Blue, Royal Purple, Deep Navy, Bright Lavender, Charcoal Grey, Coral Orange, Forest Green, Teal, Burgundy, and Earl Brown. Users can also choose from additional tones such as Sandy Beige, Emerald Green, Bright Yellow, Olive Green, Fuchsia Pink, Crimson Red, Sunset Orange, and Golden Yellow.
Apart from this, users will also reportedly be able to select a new app icon from 14 predefined icons, pin up to 20 chats (while unpaid users will remain limited to only 3 pinned chats), and upgrade their lists, allowing subscribers to organise conversations into specific lists and apply bulk customisation settings. Additionally, the subscription is also expected to include 10 modern ringtone options such as Flutter, Tempo, Ripple, Quest, Drum, Murmur, Flux, Meadow, Bubble, and Carnival.
The report also details that in order to end the subscription, users will need to cancel it through the App Store at least 24 hours before the next renewal date.
Regarding availability, the feature is currently limited to select users and is expected to be rolled out more widely soon via the WhatsApp iOS app version “26.17.74”.
