Yesterday, Meta’s Head of Product, Naomi Gleit, officially announced the rollout of Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus and WhatsApp Plus subscription plans globally.
The Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus plans are said to be priced at $3.99/month, while the WhatsApp Plus is said to be priced at $2.99/month. As per the announcement, these plans will provide access to extra features across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
What benefits do these plans offer?
Reportedly, the Instagram Plus plan will give access to features like the ability to see how many people have rewatched your story in aggregate, ability to create unlimited audience lists for Stories beyond the Close Friends option, spotlight a story once a week for additional views, preview a story without showing up as a viewer, search story viewer list to see who is watching, and post straight to profile and highlight without showing up on your follower’s feeds.
Other features for Instagram Plus include Super Heart animated reactions for stories, custom app icons, customizable fonts for profile bios, and access to additional pins for your profile.
The Facebook Plus plan is said to offer features similar to the Instagram Plus plan. Meanwhile, WhatsApp Plus plan offers other features like app themes, custom ringtones, additional pinned chats, list customisation, premium stickers and more.
Apart from these new plans, Meta will also begin testing plans for creators, businesses and Meta AI power users. These plans will come together under a new name called Meta One.
