Instagram Plus Subscription Announced Globally With Story Spotlight, Super Hearts, Story Insights and More Features

Instagram Plus Subscription Now Rolling Out Globally
With the help of this subscription, Instagram users will be able to access exclusive features that are aimed at helping them express themselves, connect better with friends, and customise their overall Instagram experience.
To note, the platform will continue to remain free and the newly introduced Instagram Plus subscription is only an optional upgrade for users who want more control, deeper insights, and premium features on the application.
Speaking about the features, it brings new additions across three main areas – getting closer to who matters, seeing previews and insights, and making Instagram more personalised. Under the first section, Instagram Plus users will be able to use Story Spotlight to give their story priority for friends, while Super Hearts will let them send vibrant and animated hearts that burst across the screen to celebrate stories from friends.
Additionally, Multiple Story Audiences will also be offered, with the help of which users can create as many audience lists as they want and share the right story with the right people. Story Extend is also part of the subscription, and it will allow users to keep their story active for 48 hours, giving their friends more time to view it.
Coming to the previews and insights features, the paid subscribers will be able preview stories without the pressure to react. Story Rewatch Insights will also be available, enabling users to see how many times their stories were rewatched. Furthermore, the Search Viewer List feature will let users quickly check whether a specific person has viewed their story or not.
Instagram Plus also brings a few customisation-based features. This includes Custom App Icon, through which users can choose their own app icon from a curated selection designed by Instagram and Instagram creators. Custom Bio Font will also be offered to let users customise the font of their profile bio, while More Profile Pins will allow them to pin up to six posts to their profile.
Also to add, the Post Directly to Profile feature will let users post to their profile or highlights without the post appearing in their friends’ feeds. As mentioned above, Instagram Plus is rolling out globally starting today, and users will be able to try all these features by signing up for the subscription.
About its pricing, while some publications have mentioned USD 3.99 per month for the USA and INR 299 per month in India, the company has not mentioned anything regarding the pricing details in its official press release. Also, as of now, no annual plan or any other tier subscription has been announced. Instagram has further mentioned that more features will be added to Instagram Plus over the coming months.
