Google Pay has simplified and sped up digital payments for many users, and to further enhance the experience, Google has now introduced a Gemini-powered conversational AI in Google Pay called Ask Google Pay.
Ask Google Pay
Google is launching Ask Google Pay, a new conversational experience built right into the app. This is an opt-in experience that helps you analyse your spending patterns and helps you with information related to managing your money.
You can chat with Ask Google Pay to understand your spending patterns, get saving tips, explore tailored offers (such as finding the right credit card for your travel expenses), and learn about financial concepts like SIPs or credit scores.
You will get personalised answers based on your transaction history and credit report data with Google Pay. Ask Google Pay comes with support for 10 Indian languages. You can also decode text input or voice queries, and break down concepts like compounding interest or learn more about the differences between tax regimes.
As per Google, your financial data is kept safe and entirely under your control.
Google Pay Flex SBI Card
Previously, the company introduced Flex by Google Pay, a reimagined credit card experience giving everyday customers confidence and control while democratizing access to credit.
The company has now partnered with SBI to introduce the Google Pay Flex SBI Card. This card is built on the RuPay network. It is now available for users, and with the Google Pay Flex SBI Card you can
- Apply directly from within Google Pay in just a few minutes, with no physical paperwork required.
- Use the card on both RuPay and VISA payment networks, enabling the freedom to pay everywhere for big or small payments.
- Earn stars that are instantly redeemable with every Flex transaction, offering immediate value where 1 star= Rs 1.
- Opt for flexible repayment options to convert your latest outstanding credit card bill into convenient EMIs.
Furthermore, the company is bringing added benefits for Flex users. Rolling out soon, all Flex Card customers will be eligible to access the Google AI Plus plan (including 400GB and 2TB storage) at 50% off for one year, while earning additional stars for their everyday purchases. Flex customers will also be able to get a discount across the entire range of Google Pixel smartphones.
