Many of Chrome’s latest AI features are now rolling out to desktop and iOS users in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and more regions starting today.
With Gemini in Chrome, users can ask their personalized browsing assistant to summarize content, compare information across multiple tabs, and more. Furthermore, users can also schedule meetings with Calendar, check location details with Maps, draft and send emails with Gmail, and ask questions about YouTube videos, all without leaving the page they are on.
Via new Nano Banana 2 capabilities, users can transform online images using a text prompt in the Gemini in Chrome side panel. Additionally, the Gemini in Chrome can also remember context from past conversations, and with Personal Intelligence, users can connect Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search to get tailored answers to their questions.
Coming to the security, well Google Google states that all of this has been built with security in mind and is designed to keep users in control. Adding more to this, its models are trained to recognize known threats like prompt injection, and safeguards have also been added to ask for confirmation before completing sensitive actions.
