Gemini Video Upload Support Now Available to Everyone

In addition to the YouTube video analysis feature on Gemini (via YouTube video link), Google’s AI platform now allows users to upload videos and ask questions regarding it. The feature is currently live on Gemini for Android, iOS, and web (~ yes, it has now been made available), and this capability is accessible for both free and paid users. VP of Gemini App – Josh Woodward officially shared the update on X, mentioning – ‘You asked, and it’s now ready’.

Gemini - Video Upload Capability

To use this new feature, on Gemini (for Android, iOS, and web), users just have to tap on the plus icon at the left side of the ‘Ask Gemini’ bar and select the video either from ‘Gallery’ or ‘Files’. Following the upload, users can ask questions and queries about the video or with the video as reference, and Gemini analyzing it will respond accordingly. As of now, most Gemini users might be wondering whether the in-built camera of the AI platform supports video capture and upload capability – No, not yet and Google still has to update Gemini with this capability.

[Just to add, this month in June 2025, the brand had brought the navigation drawer on Gemini for Android and also doubled the Gemini 2.5 Pro model’s queries from 50 to 100 numbers per day as well.]

Stay tuned for more updates.
