From ‘background blur’ to 49-person grid view: Check out Google Meet’s new features

Google Meet has added support for background blurring as well as the support to view 49 people at a time on the screen.

Internet search giant Google has launched new features to its Google Meet platform. The tech giant has added support for background blurring as well as the support to view 49 people at a time on the screen.

Talking about the background blur first, the American multinational tech company has said that the feature to turn on the background blur will be off by default and there is no admin control that is required to activate it.

Further, the feature works directly within the browser and doesn’t need an extension or any extra software. Also, the support for the same feature is set to come to ChromeOS and is set to come soon.

Moreover, users now can also see up to 49 people at the same time in the auto and tiled layout options in Google Meet.
