OTP issues and login issues annoy new users with the launch of the Tata Neu app

The Tata Group has announced a major new initiative: a single mega app that will handle all of your shopping needs from Tata Group firms. Flight tickets, food from BigBasket, pharmaceuticals from Tata 1mg, and Starbucks coffee are all available at the new Tata Neu. The Tata Neu app has gotten a lot of attention in the e-commerce world, and Tata has built a lot of buzz around it. On April 4, the app was first released on Google Play, with Tata planning an official launch on April 7.

For many new users, though, the opening day experience was less than ideal. The experience was tainted by OTP troubles and login issues, as several people pointed out on Twitter. While the app worked effectively for some users, the shopping app did not function properly for a large number of them.

After OTP authentication, the Tata Neu app asks for the user’s mobile number and registers them. You won’t be able to use the app unless you provide a genuine phone number. Now, here’s the issue: some users don’t receive the OTP, while others’ apps become stuck after entering the proper OTP. Even after you’ve passed the OTP verification and entered your name to register, the app warns you that the email address you entered is already in use and says “something is incorrect.”

The majority of the complaints were about problems with the OTP.

Tata Digital Limited publishes the Tata Neu app, which has now had over 5 lakh Android downloads. It was originally made available to a select group of customers in October 2021, largely Tata workers. Along with TataDigital.com, it’s also available for iOS.

The NeuPass experience, which is a “rewards programme” in which customers earn 5% NeuCoins or more every time they shop, dine, or travel using Tata Neu, is one of the app’s USPs. 1 NeuCoin is equal to 1 Re.
