Microsoft Introduces its New Teams Mode for Microsoft 365 Copilot: Now Turn Individual AI Chats to Group AI Chats on Microsoft Teams
The American tech giant – Microsoft has now introduced its Teams Mode for Microsoft 365 Copilot, bringing a simple and secure way to bring co-workers and others into your Copilot conversation. With this new capability, Copilot users will be able to transform their individual AI chats to group AI chats.

Microsoft’s New Teams Mode for Microsoft 365 Copilot Introduced
The new Teams Mode for Microsoft 365 Copilot is there at the top-right corner of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, and users can extend their 1:1 Copilot conversations into a group chat by simply selecting it. A group chat will thereafter be created on the Microsoft Teams platform, enabling both colleagues as well as Copilot to come together, and everyone can together build on your initial work or work together to achieve a goal. Additionally, the option to bring what all messages to the group lies in the hands of the individual user, ensuring privacy, and anyone in the group chat can access the help of Copilot by typing ‘@copilot’ in the chat.
As part of the new capability, users will also be able to add Copilot to existing group chats as well, just like adding another member, and users will thus be able to seek help from the AI assistant in team research, coordination, and completing tasks. In the future, more members can also be added to the group and thanks to the presence of Copilot (and prior prompts and responses), they will be able to pick up things quite easily.
About the availability, Teams Mode for Microsoft 365 Copilot has already rolled-out as a public preview for Microsoft 365 Copilot-licensed users on the desktop, web, and mobile versions.
