Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) has again been removed from Google Play Store and Apple Store India

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has inexplicably vanished from the Apple App Store and Google Play for India. The game was released last year after its earlier version, PUBG Mobile, was outlawed in India in 2020 for security-related reasons. It’s still unclear whether the action game has been outlawed in the nation or if it was removed because it had broken the terms of service of an app store. As of this writing, PUBG New State, created by Krafton, the company that makes BGMI, is accessible for download on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.

The removal’s timing is not a coincidence—recently, a BGMI-related matter was brought up in the Rajya Sabha. Legislators were debating whether violent video games are bad for kids. A media article that claimed “kid has killed his mother based on PUBG that he has been playing” was being discussed in the upper chamber. Last month’s incident happened in Lucknow.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a Union Minister, reportedly stated on July 22 that the incident is being looked into by law enforcement. The minister also guaranteed that PUBG Mobile’s previous version will continue to be prohibited in India starting in 2020.

Users who already have BGMI installed on their cellphones are still able to play the game as of the time this story was being written.
Players are concerned about a recent update the corporation released because of a potential ban.

When BGMI returned to India this year, its creator, Krafton, declared that it had broken relations with Tencent, a Chinese company and that Indian users’ data would be protected. Additionally, the business has a deal with Microsoft to host BGMI on Azure. Microsoft’s public cloud computing solution, Azure, enables game developers to construct, run, and expand their games on a worldwide basis.
