The Chinese leading smartphone maker – Vivo has launched a new smartphone model – Vivo Y29t 5G for its customers in Singapore. This latest device has been introduced in a single storage option and two color choices.

Vivo Y29t 5G – Launched in Singapore
Vivo’s newly unveiled Y-series smartphone – the Vivo Y29t 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor (6nm, clocked at 2.4 GHz), and it is coupled with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. Additionally, the device also supports 6GB virtual RAM expansion and up to 2TB expandable storage. It also has the Android 15 based Funtouch OS 15 out of the box.
Coming to its display, an LCD display panel is featured with a screen size of 6.74″, resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, refresh rate of 90Hz, color gamut of 70% NTSC, pixel density of 260 PPI, and HBM brightness value of 570 nits. The display also has a water-drop/U-shaped notch, thin bezels, and a thicker chin.
In terms of its camera specs, a 50MP + 0.08MP dual rear camera unit is offered at the rear, along with a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. A 6000 mAh Li-ion battery is also packed within the device, and the device supports 15W wired fast charging feature. Also, 5 years of battery health is claimed on the device. AI capabilities such as AI Eraser, AI Photo Enhance, and AI Documents are also packed within Vivo’s Y29t 5G smartphone.
Other notable specs include 5G/4G/3G/2G network, WiFi with dual band support (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS (and other location positioning services like BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS), USB Type-C 2.0, OTG, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, multiple sensors (accelerometer, ambient light sensor, E-compass, proximity sensor, color temperature sensor, gyroscope, ordinary motor), FM, IP64-rated dust and water resistant body, SGS and military-grade shock resistance, 8.19 mm thickness, and 202 gm weight.
About its design and color choices, a next level design is featured with an exquisite appearance, and customers in Singapore will be able to get it in Gold and Green colors. As mentioned above, only the 6GB/128GB storage model is available for the Vivo Y29t 5G smartphone in Singapore, and it is priced at SGD 209.00.
[Just to add, the Vivo Y29s 5G smartphone which was unveiled in the global market a few months back is very much similar to the Vivo Y29t 5G device both in terms of design and specs, suggesting that the latter is possibly a re-branded version of the former.]
