Vivo X Fold 5 Smartphone Could Offer a Green Color Choice, Suggests the Brand’s Product Manager

The Chinese smartphone maker – Vivo is believed to unveil its next X Fold 5 foldable this month and following the previously shared updates, the brand’s product manager has revealed a possible color choice of the upcoming device.

As per a new Weibo update shared by Vivo Product Manager – Han Boxiao, Boxiao can be seen talking about a Green color (of a Mercedes Maybach car), and he notes that it appears Pure Black in low light and Deep Green in sunlight. He further mentions that he likes it, and that this color is both elegant and classy. Interestingly, in the Weibo post, the Vivo Product Manager has also added ‘Vivo X Fold 5’ as a hashtag, and this suggests that this time we may get to see Vivo’s X Fold 5 launching in a Green color choice as well.

Speaking more, in the past two days, Han Boxiao also shared updates concerning the thickness and weight of the upcoming X Fold 5, and this device is said to hit the market as the thinnest and lightest foldable smartphone. Its folded thickness and weight is reported to be 8.7 mm and 209 gm respectively, meaning it will even be thinner and lighter than its predecessor.

About its other expected/revealed key specs, it include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, 6000 mAh battery, 90W wired fast charging, wireless charging capability, and 5G/WiFi/Bluetooth/NFC connectivity support.

Additionally, the device has already received Malaysia’s SIRIM, Singapore’s IMDA, and China’s 3C certifications, and it has also been tipped to launch in the Indian market too this year in 2025. In China, the Vivo X Fold 5 smartphone is reported to have its debut later this month in June 2025, however an official launch date is still yet to be announced.
