Vivo V80 Lite 5G Officially Launched; As Expected, It Is a Rebranded Vivo S2

Vivo V80 Lite 5G - Feature

Earlier rumours had already suggested that the Vivo V80 Lite 5G would be introduced as a rebranded version of the Vivo S2 smartphone. Now, following its official launch in Pakistan, the same has been confirmed, as the two devices share an identical design and specifications.

Interestingly, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G which is set to launch in Malaysia will be a different smartphone. Based on the official teasers shared in the country, the Malaysian variant appears to be a rebranded version of the China-launched iQOO Z11S. Therefore, Vivo will be offering two different smartphones under the same ‘V80 Lite 5G’ moniker across different markets.

Vivo V80 Lite 5G – Specifications and Features

Starting with its design, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G launched in Pakistan features a 3D dual-curved display and a Skyline Camera Module. Its back panel is made using a plastic composite sheet, while an optical fingerprint sensor has been integrated into the display.

The Sapphire Blue colour variant measures 164.42 × 75.25 × 7.99mm and weighs 197gm. The Silk White colour option is slightly thicker and heavier, measuring 164.42 × 75.25 × 8.10mm and weighing 199gm.

Speaking more, the smartphone features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a pixel density of 449 PPI. The display offers a 93.82% screen-to-body ratio, P3 wide colour gamut, HDR10+ support, up to 2,000 nits of HBM brightness and 3,000 nits of local peak brightness.

It has also received SGS Low Blue Light, SGS Low-Flicker and SGS Five-Star Sunlight-Readable Display certifications.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, which is built using a 4nm process. Its octa-core CPU consists of four cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Vivo claims that the smartphone can achieve an AnTuTu score of around 970,000 points.

The chipset has been paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It supports up to 8GB of Extended RAM and is claimed to keep as many as 25 applications active in the background. Expandable storage is not supported.

For gaming, the device is claimed to offer stable 90 FPS gameplay in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang for up to three hours at an ambient temperature of 30°C.

The smartphone runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo has promised three generations of operating system updates and five years of security updates. The brand also claims that the device will deliver a smooth experience for 50 months and beyond.

Coming to cooling, it features a 3,800mm² vapour chamber and a total cooling area of more than 23,000mm². The thermal conductivity is claimed to be improved by up to ten times, helping the device manage heat during gaming, video playback and high-resolution video recording.

Battery and Cameras

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is backed by a 7,050mAh BlueVolt Li-ion battery with 44W wired charging support. It also offers bypass charging, which helps manage the device’s temperature during continued usage while charging.

According to the brand, the battery can provide up to 14 days of standby time, 22.4 hours of video playback, 22 hours of TikTok video playback and 58 hours of 4G calling. The battery is also claimed to retain its health for up to six years.

A Battery Life Extender feature is also present, which is claimed to provide up to four additional minutes of usage when the battery reaches a critically low level.

For photography, the smartphone carries a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP bokeh camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it features a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. Other camera-related features include Aura Light Portrait with stepless brightness adjustment, AI Erase 2.0, Dual-View Video and Live Photo.

The rear camera modes include Night, Portrait, Photo, Video, 50MP, Panorama, Ultra HD Document, Slow Motion, Time-Lapse, Supermoon, Pro, Food and Dual View. The front camera supports Night, Portrait, Photo, Video and Dual View modes.

Durability and Connectivity

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G carries IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. It has also passed five MIL-STD-810H military-grade tests and supports Wet-Hand Touch, Greasy-Hand Touch and Rain Protection features.

For connectivity, the smartphone supports two Nano-SIM cards with Dual SIM Dual Standby, 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG and a USB Type-C port based on USB 2.0. NFC and FM Radio are not supported.

Navigation services include GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and BeiDou. It also offers AI SuperLink with an omnidirectional antenna and intelligent network selection.

Furthermore, the device features symmetrical dual stereo speakers. Its sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, E-compass, proximity sensor and gyroscope.

Pricing and Availability

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is available in Silk White and Sapphire Blue colour options in Pakistan. Its pricing details are listed below.

  • 8GB/128GB – PKR 124,999
  • 8GB/256GB – PKR 145,999

Pre-orders for the smartphone will begin on the 25th of August 2026. Customers purchasing the device between the 25th of August and the 10th of September 2026 will also be eligible for a one-year extended warranty on the smartphone.

Looking at its specifications and design, the Pakistani Vivo V80 Lite 5G is identical to the Vivo S2 launched in India. Both devices feature the Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, 6.83″ 1.5K curved AMOLED display, 7,050mAh battery, 44W charging and the same camera configuration, thereby confirming that the Vivo V80 Lite 5G is a rebranded Vivo S2 in Pakistan.

Malaysian Vivo V80 Lite 5G – A Different Smartphone

Coming to Malaysia, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G will be officially unveiled on the 3rd of September 2026. Unlike the Pakistani version, the Malaysian model features a flat rear panel, a square-shaped camera module and a significantly larger 10,000mAh battery.

The device has also been confirmed to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display, 44W charging, reverse charging and a 3.8K Ultra-Large VC Cooling System. It will be available in Pink, Green and Black colour options, while Vivo Malaysia has already opened reservations for RM 5.

The design and confirmed specifications of the Malaysian Vivo V80 Lite 5G closely match the iQOO Z11S launched in China. The latter also features a 10,000mAh battery, 44W charging and a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display in a flat-body design.

Therefore, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G launched in Pakistan is a rebranded Vivo S2, while the Malaysian version appears to be based on the iQOO Z11S. The complete specifications and pricing of the Malaysian model will be confirmed during its official launch.
