Vivo’s upcoming V80 Lite 5G smartphone has already made its appearance on multiple certification platforms, and just yesterday, we spotted two of its variants on the Geekbench database, with one appearing to be powered by the Dimensity 7360-Turbo and the other by the Dimensity 7300e. Now, the brand has officially announced the launch of the device in Malaysia, and a few of its key details have also been revealed via the latest teaser.

Vivo V80 Lite 5G – Malaysia Launch Confirmed

According to the latest microsite hosted on the Vivo Malaysia website, the upcoming Vivo V80 Lite 5G smartphone will be launching on 3rd September 2026 at 7 PM local time in the country. Furthermore, the brand has also confirmed that the device will be arriving with a massive 10,000mAh battery.

Speaking more, the latest teaser has also given us a look at the rear design of the upcoming smartphone, and interestingly, it appears to have some similarities with the recently launched iQOO Z11s in China. The device can be seen with a similar camera deco at the rear, while Pink, Black, and Green colour options have also been teased along with a 6GB/128GB memory variant. Notably, the rear panel further confirms the presence of a 50MP camera.

Coming to its Malaysian variant, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G carrying the model number V2626 had earlier received Malaysia’s SIRIM certification, and this same model was also spotted on the Geekbench database. The listing revealed a MediaTek MT6858 chipset with four CPU cores clocked at 2.00GHz and the remaining four running at up to 2.50GHz, along with a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU, thereby pointing towards the Dimensity 7300e SoC.

This suggests that the Vivo V80 Lite 5G that will be launching for Malaysian customers is likely going to be the Dimensity 7300e-powered model, unlike the V2643 variant that we spotted with chipset details similar to the Dimensity 7360-Turbo-powered Vivo S2.

Interestingly, the design of the Malaysian Vivo V80 Lite 5G as well as its 10,000mAh battery appear similar to the recently launched iQOO Z11s. However, the iQOO smartphone comes powered by the Dimensity 7500 Full Version processor, whereas the V2626 model points towards the Dimensity 7300e. Hence, whether the upcoming Vivo V80 Lite 5G is based on the iQOO Z11s in some manner, or whether the two devices only share certain design and battery aspects, cannot be said for sure at the moment.

Also, the latest details further suggest that Vivo could be bringing the V80 Lite 5G with different specifications across different markets. The V2643/V2644 models were earlier linked to the Vivo S2 through the Google Play Supported Devices list, whereas this V2626 model that is expected to launch in Malaysia appears to feature a different chipset as well as design.
