Samsung Starts Teasing Its Next Foldable Smartphone in India; Could It Be the Galaxy Z Fold 8?

Seems like the earlier rumoured July launch timeline for the next Galaxy Unpacked event is now shaping up to be true, as the brand has now started sharing teasers for its next foldable smartphone in the country. Though the teasers feature everyday objects such as chocolate bars, pizza slices, a squeegee, a dalgona sweet, a puzzle, and the Taj Mahal, they in fact appear to hint at the design of the upcoming foldable device.

Here’s more about it.

Samsung’s latest teasers hint at a new foldable design

Speaking more about the teasers, one of the videos shows a chocolate bar whose top part is cut in a square-like shape, along with the tagline “Sweet New Shape.” Another teaser featuring a Taj Mahal puzzle also shows a similar design hint, with the headline “Feels Just Right.” Similar to these, the other teasers shared by the brand also seem to be pointing in the same direction.

While the squeegee teaser showcases the number “8,” possibly hinting at the Galaxy Z Fold 8, it also appears to feature the same wallpaper design that was earlier seen in the leaked case images of the device. The teaser further carries the tagline “Bold Stroke New Shape.” There is also another teaser in which a photo is cut with scissors in a similar size and shape, along with the tagline “Cut to What Matters.” Next is the YouTube Shorts video showcasing the dalgona sweet, carrying the tagline “A Sweet Reveal.” All these teasers together suggest that Samsung may be preparing to introduce a new foldable form factor this time.

Now if we look into the past, an alleged image of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 had also surfaced online in a similar size and shape, with some even calling it the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide or Galaxy Z Fold Wide. To be honest, the exact moniker of the device is still a mystery, and Samsung has also not officially confirmed anything regarding the name yet.

This would probably be the first time Samsung is playing with the size and dimensions of its next foldable smartphone in such a manner. However, one thing that seems likely from the teaser is that this may not be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra variant, mainly because of the size that is being hinted at in the teasers. As per rumours, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to be taller and narrower, whereas the device hinted in these teasers appears to have a wider form factor.

Talking about its expected specifications, a recent tip from tipster Ahmed Qwaider has also revealed a few key details regarding the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 smartphone. As per what has been shared, the device is tipped to feature the following:-
