Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra dummy units leaked online; Galaxy Z Fold 8 weight, camera and battery details tipped

The South Korean tech giant Samsung is rumoured to launch its latest foldable devices at the July 2026 Unpacked event. The upcoming lineup is said to include two models- Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Samsung’s first wide-folding handset) and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

Earlier, it was revealed that the wide-folding handset will be called Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, and the standard model will be called Galaxy Z Fold 8. But as per new reports, the wide-folding smartphone will launch as Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the standard model will be called Z Fold 8 Ultra.

Today, tipster @UniverseIce has shared the dummy units of the upcoming foldable devices and also tipped some of their key details.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 & Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: New details surfaced online

As per the images shared by the tipster, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is seen with a pill-shaped camera module that houses two camera sensors and an LED flash. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra also has a pill-shaped camera module that houses three camera sensors, while the LED flash is next to the camera module.

In the comment section, the tipster has suggested that when unfolded, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will have a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Further, it is revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (wide) model will weigh 201g. This upcoming device is said to have an advantage in terms of weight when compared with the Huawei Pura X Max (229g) and Apple’s iPhone Ultra, which is expected to exceed that of Samsung.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 (wide) is tipped to be backed by a 4800 mAh battery and support 45W fast charging. It is said to be equipped with a new 50MP sensor and to natively support 24MP mode; therefore, the users won’t have the need to download Camera Assistant.
