Redmi K80 Ultra (Extreme Edition) and Redmi K Pad Official Launch Announced in China: Said to Debut This Month

Chinese consumer electronics maker – Xiaomi has now teased the official launch of the Redmi K80 Ultra (Extreme Edition) smartphone and Redmi K Pad tablet in its home market. Reportedly, their debut is believed to take place this month at an upcoming launch conference.

Redmi K80 Ultra (Extreme Edition) and Redmi K Pad – Launching Soon in China

As mentioned, Xiaomi via a new teaser poster has now officially announced its Redmi K80 Ultra (Extreme Edition) smartphone and Redmi K Pad tablet launch in China, and both of these are revealed to be performance-centric flagship devices. The tagline ‘Luxury Performance Dual Flagship’ has been used to tease the two devices, and they are likely to be unveiled at a Xiaomi launch conference at the end of this month in June 2025.

Speaking more about the Redmi K80 Ultra (Extreme Edition), specs such as MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chip, 7000 mAh battery backup, and 120W wired fast charging feature are expected. Additionally, the Redmi Marketing Head in China – Wang Teng Thomas has addressed the upcoming Redmi K80 Ultra (Extreme Edition) as the ‘most luxurious performer in the CNY 3K price segment’. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner is also revealed to be featured on this device, along with design, quality, display, sound, and haptic related upgrades. Likely, it will be competing with the iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ and the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra (Extreme Edition) smartphones.

Regarding the Redmi K Pad, it will probably compete with the Lenovo Legion Y700 (Gen 4) and RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 PRO, and just like its competitors, it will also be a compact-sized performance tablet. An 8.8″ 3K 165Hz LCD display (CSOT) with 16:10 aspect ratio, MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, and 67W wired + bypass charging are revealed to be its expected key specs.

Just to add, apart from the Redmi K80 Ultra (Extreme Edition) smartphone and Redmi K Pad tablet, the next generation clamshell-shaped foldable of Xiaomi – the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 could also break its cover at the launch event this month, however it hasn’t yet been confirmed (via).
