Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi had launched the Redmi A4 5G in the Indian market last year in November. At the time of launch, it was available in two memory variants, 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB. Now, a third memory option has been added, 6GB+128GB.
This new variant has been listed on the Amazon India website with aprice tag of Rs 9,999, and sales are set to begin on 22nd June at 12 PM IST. Since this is only a new memory configuration, the rest of the specifications remain unchanged. It is also confirmed to support the Jio True 5G network. Also, on the Amazon product page, currently the 4GB+64Gb and 4GB+128Gb variants are listed.

The device features a 6.88-inch HD Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 600 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, based on Android 14.
The smartphone is equipped with a 5160mAh battery, which supports 18W fast charging. For photography, it offers a 50MP main rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Xiaomi has promised 2 years of software updates and 4 years of security patches.
Other features include dual SIM support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C port, and 4GB of virtual RAM. The phone also sports a premium-looking halo glass back design. It measures 171.88 centimetres in height, 77.80 centimetres in width, 8.22 centimetres in thickness, and weighs 212.35 grams.
